Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Artha is a private network connecting investment professionals with investment firms. References to "Artha", "we", and "us" mean the operator of joinartha.app. References to "you" mean any person who visits the site or holds an Artha account.

2. Information we collect

  • Account data: name, email, and authentication identifiers used to sign in.
  • Professional profile: seniority, function, firm type, experience, strategy and sector expertise, location, and other fields you choose to provide for matching.
  • Firm profile: firm name, contact details, plan, and listing content submitted by firm accounts.
  • Compensation survey responses: optional and stored separately from your identifying profile.
  • Application data: CVs and submissions you send to firms via Artha.
  • Technical data: logs and cookies necessary to operate the service.

3. How we use information

  • Operate the platform, vet members, and match professionals to mandates.
  • Send transactional emails (receipts, confirmations, account notices).
  • Produce aggregated, anonymised compensation insights.
  • Detect abuse and protect the integrity of the network.

3a. How we use machine learning

Artha uses machine-learning embeddings to match professionals with roles and Quiet Mandates. We convert the taxonomy fields on your profile (strategy, asset class, sectors, markets, approach) into a numerical representation and compare it against the same representation of live roles and mandates to surface relevant opportunities. All recommendations are informational — you decide whether to apply or express interest. You can hide your profile from specific firms at any time via Settings → Privacy & visibility; blocked firms cannot see your profile and their roles do not appear in your matches. Human-curated content (firm intelligence, compensation data) is clearly labelled and never algorithmically generated.

4. Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share profile information with vetted firms only when you choose to apply or express interest, and with service providers (hosting, payments, email delivery) acting under contract. Compensation survey data is shared only in aggregated form.

5. Storage and security

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access is restricted by role-based controls and database-level row security. Sensitive fields — notice period, openness to opportunities, and compensation — are never exposed in public queries.

6. Your rights

You can access and update your profile at any time from your dashboard. You can permanently delete your account and associated data from Settings → Delete account. You may also email privacy@joinartha.app for any data request.

7. Retention

We retain account data while your account is active. On deletion, your profile and associated records are removed from production systems; aggregated, anonymised statistics may be retained.

8. Children

Artha is intended for working professionals and is not directed to anyone under 18.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice.
